CUMBERLAND, July 14 — Janie Louise Davis Kear, 91, of Cumberland, died Saturday, July 11, 2015.  She was born in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Israel and Sarah Davis. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Matthew Newton and William M. Kear.

She is survived by three sisters, Emma Craig of Verona, Elizabeth Higgins and Margarette Davis, both of Richmond.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 15 at 1 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Buckingham Baptist Church Cemetery at Gold Hill.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday (tonight) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
