BUCKINGHAM, June 2 — Ray Edward Atkins, Sr., 70, of Buckingham, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015.

He is survived by two daughters, Suzie Q. Atkins and Lisa B. Elgin of Buckingham; two sons, Bill Bailey and Jack Bailey Jr. of Buckingham; two granddaughters, Rebekah Bailey of Mechanicsville and Nicole Bailey of Buckingham; and six grandsons, Christopher Bailey of Chesterfield, Robert Elgin of Dillwyn, Steven Elgin of Fishers, West Virginia, Justin Bailey of Buckingham, Travis Jamerson of Buckingham, and Joshua Bailey of Buckingham. He is also survived by a good friend, Louise C. Bailey of Buckingham.

A funeral service was held June 1 at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Buckingham Community Cemetery.
