Editor, The Herald:

We Understand Youth Outreach is in need of a building in the Town of Farmville. If someone could donate to us a building, that would be great. It could be an awesome tax write-off.

Our mission is to educate youth on understanding their self-worth and to provide free services and programs to help them become productive citizens in the community. We are a non-profit organization, and our ultimate goal is to open a youth center in Prince Edward County.
W.U.Y. members strive to make a positive difference through our actions by working with youth. We have begun several projects to engage our youth in the community, including holding “Teen Talks”; participating as a vendor at the Heart of Virginia Festival; providing free Zumba fitness classes; and having an annual Summer Jamboree and Fashion Show for the youth.
