JUNE 4 — Mazie Welts, 90, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015. She was born in Clarksburg to the late Bill Laisure and Xinia Grimes on January 2, 1925.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Benjamin Swiney, Paul Lee Jr., and Ronald Lee; daughters, Linda Waddell, Lorraine Zenger, Katherine Derwacter, Paula Sahagun, Amber Lee, and Melissa Lee; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, and her son, Daniel Lee who died while serving in the Vietnam War.

Mrs. Welts was a family woman and lived for her children.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 4 in Virginia Beach.
