The Fuqua School Senior Band recently competed in the Smoky Mountain Music Festival in Gatlingburg, TN. This is a widely recognized music competition that attracts bands from all over the East Coast. Fuqua competed in the Class 1A Concert Band Category and placed first with the highest possible rating of superior. In addition, Jenna Armes, Troy Howard, Lauren Stimpson and Ellie Vick were awarded certificates of excellence for their solos during the performance.
