PERRY, NY —  Hampden-Sydney senior midfielder Thomas Armstrong (Charlotte, NC/Charlotte Latin) was named a USILA Honorable Mention All-American for the third season in a row on Tuesday.

Armstrong is just the eighth Hampden-Sydney student-athlete in all currently offered sports to be a three-time All-American and the fifth lacrosse student-athlete to earn that distinction.

Also, a three-time All-ODAC performer, Armstrong received first-team All-ODAC honors this spring and garnered the most votes for all midfielders for the second year in a row. Armstrong led the team in goals with 32 and was second in points with 43. He scored at least one goal in 14 of 16 games and posted a season-best six points on five goals and one assist vs. Mary Washington. In five games against ranked opponents, he tallied seven goals and five assists for 12 points. He finishes his career seventh in H-SC history for career goals with 115, 10th in points at 160, and third in career midfielder points.
