CUMBERLAND, May 14 — Geraldine Carter, 86, of Cumberland, departed this life on Thursday, May 7, 2015 in Richmond.

She is survived by her children, Calvin Carter and Bethelma Hill (Andrew); six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, John W. Taylor Sr.; two sisters, Jeanette Booker and Catherine Woodson; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Taylor and Inell Carter, other relatives and friends.

Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home of Cumberland where public viewing will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 7-8 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Petersville Baptist Church, New Canton, with the Rev. Ollie Bolden, pastor, officiating with interment in the church cemetery.
