BUCKINGHAM — Although Buckingham County High School's Tinos Trejo was chomping at the bit to aid his team to another win, the Prince Edward County High School varsity boys soccer team stepped in to take a 5-1 win over the Knights.

“Malte Carolus helped the Eagles get off to a dominant start with a hat-trick in the first 20 minutes of the game. The Knights mounted a comeback in the second half, as Tinos Trejo put away a penalty kick after a rough tackle in the box. Robin Schneider added to the lead moments later after heading a Niko Reinson corner kick into the roof of the goal. Carolus added the insurance goal in the 87th minute to secure the 5-1 victory for the Eagles,” commented PECHS varsity boys soccer coach Devin Pierce.

Carolus scored four goals during the Eagles game, while Schneider score one. Reinson, Connor Burke, and Colton Sheehan aided PECHS with an assist each.
