VIRGINIA BEACH, March 5 — Lorine Mottley McClain was born March 14, 1928 in Farmville, but at the age of 86 this beloved great-grandmother has met her Lord and Savior, and deceased husband, of nearly 48 years, at the gates of Heaven. She passed away in the comfort of her home Sunday, February 22, 2015 with family by her side. She has had many angels help her through life, and her grandson was her last angel here on Earth.

Mrs. McClain was a homemaker who loved to crochet, bake sweets, and tend to her flowers around the yard. She had a passion for cats especially her 17-year-old cat, Pepi, who will remain with family until they can meet again. She use to attend the local churches of Virginia Beach to strengthen her deep faith and love she had for the Lord and now she can sit in the front row of any morning service she pleases!

She is missed by many, and will be thought of daily, especially by the three surviving brothers, Edward- wife Judy, Dale- wife Shirley, and John Mottley- wife Nancy of the Farmville area; a younger sister, Arlene Johnson of the Farmville area; a daughter, Sharon M. Hill of the Amelia area; three grandchildren, Connie Hill, Roger Hill- girlfriend Tiffani Reeves, and Shayne Hammonds; three great-grandchildren, Justin Clay, Christopher and Kristen Tucker; and her beloved cat, Pepi.
