FARMVILLE — Longwood University issued a statement Saturday regarding one of its students, Angelica Hadsell, who was reported missing while in her hometown of Norfolk on spring break.

“The Longwood University community shares the deep concerns of Anjelica Hadsell’s family and loved ones and we hope she is located safely,” the LU release states.

Because Hadsell was reported missing while in Norfolk, the university notes, “Norfolk police are leading the investigation into her whereabouts; our campus police and other staff are assisting with all available resources as needed.

“We have reached out to the Longwood community,” the statement continues, “for any information that could be helpful, and we continue to be in regular contact with both family members and investigators.”

Anyone with information is asked to immediately contact Norfolk police at 757-664-7026.

Hadsell is described as five feet, six inches tall, weighing 120 pounds and she has a mole beneath her bottom lip.
