Alice Coleman Tuscan, 90

LYNCHBURG, March 17 — Alice Coleman Tuscan, 90, went to live with the Lord Friday, March 13, 2015 at her home in Lynchburg. She was born in Prince Edward County where she resided for 36 years.

She was employed with Craddock & Terry for 25 years and was a seamstress for various companies in Lynchburg. She loved working in her flowerbeds and taking care of her lawn.

Mrs. Tuscan is survived by a daughter, Rosetta L. Tuscan of Farmville; three grandchildren; Sandra J. Moser and Billy, of Providence Forge, Hugh M. Crenshaw Jr. and Janet, of Farmville and John M. Crenshaw Sr. and Vickie, of Farmville; 14 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by former husband, Michael Tuscan, mother, Maggie Ola Coleman Sims, father, Charles Cleveland Coleman, two sisters, Maggie Vernell Hines and Betty L. Eagle; four brothers, Charles E. Coleman, Robert C. Coleman, Ernest L. Coleman Sr., and Thomas H. Coleman Sr. two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Dwayne Tolbert and Brandon Arnold, a niece, Sarah Jane Mitcalf and a nephew, Jessie L. Coleman.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 17 in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home.
