JANUARY 6 — Jessie Mae Olgers Crockett, 92, left this world to be reunited at last with her beloved husband of 59 years, Thomas H. Crockett Jr. She was a life long member of Pisgah Baptist Church, Rice, where for many years she sang in the choir with her beautiful voice.

Mrs. Crockett leaves behind with great sadness, but many wonderful memories, her daughter, Lora Crockett Monahan; son-in-law, Terry Monahan; and grandson, Tory Crockett Monahan, all of Rice; sister, Joanne Robertson of Maryland; three nephews and numerous friends. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, one brother being her twin to whom she was especially close.

She was laid to rest with a private ceremony at Pisgah Church cemetery.

There will be a memorial service at the church on Saturday, January 10 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Earl Wallace officiating. This will be a celebration of life and all are invited to come and to share their memories of Jessie Mae Crockett.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association or to Pisgah Baptist Church.

Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville, is serving the family.
