JANUARY 6 — James “Bobby” Anderson Wilkerson, 92, of Farmville, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015. He was a GM parts manager for Newmans, Mullins and Haley car dealerships. He was a member of the Commonwealth Chorale, a deacon and elder of the Farmville Presbyterian Church and superintendent of Sunday school there.

Mr. Wilkerson is survived by a sister, Lucille W. Lightner of Salina, KA; special friends, Mariellen and Jon Combs; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ivy “Tootsie” Vaughan, his parents, James W. and Eliza P. Wilkerson, sisters, Betty W. King, Eliza “Dolly” W. King, Margaret W. Miller, and three brothers, John P. Wilkerson, Price Wilkerson and Garland Wilkerson.

A funeral service was Sunday, January 4 at the Farmville Presbyterian Church with interment in Westview Cemetery, Farmville.
