Editor, The Herald:

The concern the supervisors have for the office workers being overworked twice a year in the courthouse is a poor excuse for not getting the twice-a-year real estate tax worked out. There are people in Prince Edward County who work seven days a week, 12 hours a day, weekends and holidays, trying to have Christmas for their families and pay this huge tax bill all at one time. To the office workers in the courthouse, working overtime twice a year doesn’t sound too bad.
