CUMBERLAND, December 4 — Allen Ray Miles, 75, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home. He was retired from the Department of Corrections in Buckingham where he was employed as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Ownby Miles; a daughter, Donna Rae Miles of Cumberland; three sisters, Shirley Waycaster and Frances Smith, both of Dillwyn, and his twin, Faye Marion of Cumberland; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and three special brothers-in-law, Dan “Shot” LeSueur of Dillwyn, Dan Roosevelt and George Branham both of Cumberland, and many friends, including his beloved Sheltie “Kody”.

A funeral service was held on December 3, 2014 at Dunkum Funeral Home by his pastor, Cameron Cloud, with interment in the Jones Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
