Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Alice Deane and Wilburn Whitehead, both of Dillwyn, celebrating on Sunday, November 30, and Dylan Cloud (son of Rev. Cameron and Lynn Cloud of Cumberland) celebrating on Wednesday, December 3.

Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, along with Jane Cooke, of Brookneal, all enjoyed an evening meal at a restaurant in Charlottesville on Thursday, November 20.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who are sick and shut-in.

A large crowd attended the annual Thanksgiving feast at the home of James and Virginia Boyles in Cumberland on Sunday afternoon, November 23.

On Sunday evening, November 22, Barry and Linda Miles along with Susie Taylor, of Dillwyn, and Patricia Woodfin, of New Canton, all enjoyed an evening meal at a Dillwyn restaurant.

Remember when hymns sounded Godly, sermons sounded helpful, and shouting sounded normal within the church?

Spreading God’s Gifts Inc., of Buckingham, is a non-profit local organization that extends help to individuals and families in their hour of need. All are invited to come and learn how to help by attending the next regular monthly meeting set for Tuesday evening, December 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Buckingham County Public Library. The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association will host their annual Christmas banquet on Saturday, December 6 at 1 p.m. in the VFW Hall on Route 60 in Buckingham. All members and their guest are cordially invited to attend. A complete buffet will be furnished by the association.
