NOVEMBER 18 — Phyllis Doss Yeatts, 83, of Farmville, formerly of Richmond and Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014.

She was an Alumnus of Longwood University and longtime member of Farmville Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano for Sunday school and loved visiting residents of nursing homes.

Mrs. Yeatts is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Cecil G. Yeatts Sr.; children, Sue Morris (Larry), Cecil G. Yeatts Jr. (Carol), George Alan (Aileen), and David Lee; grandchildren, Edward Bonham (Jessie), Amy Stanley (Jeff), Jeremy, Rachel, Cecil III (Stephanie), Christopher and Jeremi Jones; and great-grandson, Greydon Stanley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruby Doss, brother, Frankie, and sister, Jackie.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21 at 1 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
