OCTOBER 30 — Happy birthday wishes to out to Rodney Ownby, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Saturday, November 1, Dan (Shot) LeSueur, of Dillwyn, celebrating on Tuesday, November 4, and Larry Davidson, celebrating on Thursday, November 6.

Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, Susie Taylor, of Dillwyn, and Patricia Woodfin, of New Canton, all enjoyed an evening meal at a Charlottesville Restaurant on Tuesday, October 21.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who are sick and shut-in.

Barry and Linda Miles along with Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, and James and Virginia Boyles, of Cumberland, all enjoyed an evening meal at a Dillwyn restaurant on Thursday, October 23.

Congratulations to Chris and Lacy Cooke, of Cartersville, on the birth of their son, Bryson Amos Cooke, weighing eight pounds 15 ounces born on Wednesday, October 22 at 6:11 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital in Richmond.

Annie May Miles along with Barry and Linda Miles, Patricia Woodfin of New Canton and Susie Taylor of Dillwyn all enjoyed lunch at a Farmville restaurant on Friday, October 24.

Buckingham Baptist Church, located on North James Madison Highway in Arvonia, will be hosting “Trunk or Treat” Friday evening, October 31 from 6-8 p.m.

Cedar Baptist Church, located on Bell Road in Dillwyn, will be having a “Trunk or Treat” Friday, October 31 from 6-8 p.m. For further information, contact Pat Allen at 434-983-3158.

There will be a benefit gospel sing for Bright Morning Star Church in Dillwyn. This benefit will be held at Hatcher Baptist Church, located on Gravel Hill Road in Cumberland, on Saturday evening, November 8 at 5 p.m. Several churches are co-hosting this benefit. Refreshments will follow in the church fellowship hall.

The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Banquet on Saturday, November 1 at 1 p.m. at The First Baptist Church, located on Main Street n Dillwyn. All members are cordially invited to attend, a complete buffet will be furnished by the association.

Following this meal there will be special music featuring Denise Hill of Dillwyn. Door prizes will be given away.

Spreading God’s Gifts Inc. of Buckingham is a non-profit local organization that extends help to individuals and families in their hour of need. All are invited to come learn how to help. The regular monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Buckingham County Public Library.
