REGARDING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS OF TOWN OF DILLWYN ZONING ORDINANCE AND ZONING MAP

The Planning Commission and the Town Council for the Town of Dillwyn will hold a joint public hearing on Friday, November 7, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the Dillwyn Town Hall, located on Main Street in said Town, to consider, pursuant to the request of Roy A. Martin and Cheryl M. Martin, husband and wife, present owners of the hereinafter described lands, and their prospective tenants, amending the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map of the Town of Dillwyn as follows: re-zoning the hereinafter described lands from their designation under said Ordinance and Map of R-1 (a limited residential district) to the designation of B-2 (a general business district), The lands proposed to be re-zoned are described as follows:

TAX MAP NO. 125.4-1-104: All that certain tract or parcel of land, with all improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, situated in the Town of Dillwyn, Curdsville Magisterial District of Buckingham County, Virginia, containing One and three hundred ninety-three/thousandths (1.393) acres, more or less, said lands fronting on U. S. Route #15 (Oak St.) in said Town and being more particularly described by a plat of survey prepared by John M. Duggan, L.S., dated September 30, 2010 and recorded in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Buckingham County in Deed Book 384, at page 264, to which plat reference is hereby made for a more complete and accurate description of said lands. Said lands being the same conveyed unto Roy A. Martin and Cheryl M. Martin, as tenants by the entireties, from Ranson & Burroughs, a Virginia general partnership, et al by deed dated October 7, 2010 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 384, at page 260 et seq.

This public hearing and said proposed amendment are hereby advertised pursuant to Subsection 12-1-2 of said Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Dillwyn. A copy of the plat of the subject parcel and the present Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map may be inspected during normal business hours at the Dillwyn Town Hall on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, except holidays.
