PROSPECT, October 23 — Carrington Luther Doss, 87, of Prospect, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born on August 29, 1927 to the late Carrington H. and Edna Midkiff Doss.

Mr. Doss is survived by his sisters, Iris Austin and Shirley Bucknam both of Prospect, and Betty Rosser of Hampton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24 at the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery at 11 a.m.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23 from 6 p.m.– 7:30 p.m. at Shorter Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department, Prospect, VA.
