SEPTEMBER 2 — Sadie Norton Carrington Hodnett, 87, of Farmville, died Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was one of ten children of James and Lillie Norton of Nottoway County.

Mrs. Hodnett was a postmaster for 25 years at Evergreen and Prospect post offices.

She is survived by a son and a daughter, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hodnett never met a stranger and was loved by all. She will be greatly missed.

A graveside service was held Sunday, August 31 at Wards Chapel United Methodist Church, Crewe.
