AUGUST 5 – Mrs. Pansy Marie Workman Goforth, 76, of Farmville, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville. She was born February 14, 1939 in Arlington, to the late Edward Paul Workman and Marie Ashby Brown.
Mrs. Goforth enjoyed arts, crafts, puzzle solving and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was always very proud of her children.
She is survived by her children, Dianna G. DiRico (Donald) of Pembroke, Devora G. Peterson (Keith) of Silver Springs, MD, Edward R. Goforth (Jennifer) of Manassas, and John H. Goforth (Barbara) of Farmville; sister, Janet Virts of Round Hill; grandchildren, Ryan Penick of Farmville, Janette Blevins of Pembroke, Johnny Goforth of Farmville, Rebecca, Katie and Libby Goforth all of Manassas, Kimberly Allen and Shawn Allen both of Farmville, and Timmy Allen of Suffolk; great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Penick, McKenzie Penick, Briar Penick, Bridgette Blevins, Adrian Rodriguez, Makayla Rodriguez, Blake, Aylassa and Natalie Allen, and Grayson Goforth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Goforth, and a sister, Judy Plumb.
