Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, visited in the home of Grace Hudgins and Mae Rutherford, both of Cumberland, on Monday, July 14. A nice time was had by all.

A continued speedy recovery is sent out this week to Linda Miles who underwent outpatient hand surgery on Friday, July 11. She is said to be getting along nicely.

Teresa’s Place Sprouses Corner Dillwyn, presents summer monthly Cruise-In July 19. It’s with their second of five Cruise-Ins. This month Alumni Cruise-See which HS Class has the most Cruisers from 5-8:30 p.m. All makes and models are welcome. This event is free for the whole family. Maranatha Baptist Church, located on Tuggle Rd. in Farmville, will present Southern Gospel Music on Sunday evening, July 27, at 6 p.m. featuring Smokey Wilson of Concord.
