Boy Scouts with Troop 6596 enjoyed a week of fun, adventure, and learning at Camp T. Brady Saunders in Goochland July 12-19. Scouts earned multiple merit badges, practiced leadership skills, took rides on a giant slide, climbed an iceberg, paddled the James River, learned to sail, and made leather crafts.

The Troop earned Honor Troop and Honor Patrol Awards, two scouts completed half mile and mile swims, and the Troop placed fourth out of 16 Troops in the Camp Heptathalon.

Troop 6596 is sponsored by St. Theresa Catholic Church in Farmville and holds Troop meetings each Monday at 7 p.m. September through June. Contact the Church office for more information at 434-392-3934.
