NORTH CAROLINA, July 15 — Eleanor York Ford, 86, of Williamston, NC, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. She was born on September 26, 1928 in Nashua, NH, to the late Jessie and Harriet York.

Mrs. Ford was a graduate of Nashua High School. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was very involved in her church, Sunday school, Ladies Auxiliary and the Food Bank. On July 23, 1955, she married Richard S. Ford, who preceded her in death in 2002.

She is survived by a son, Richard C. Ford and wife, Deborah of Pikeville, NC; daughters, Donna Ford Wilkerson and husband, Nat of Prospect and Ellie Ford Boyette and husband, Robbie of Williamston, NC; brothers, Roland York of Nashua, NH and Andrew York of Maine; two sisters, Theresa Gilbert and Louise Chartrain both of Nashua, NH; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Kay Ford in 1956, three brothers, Richard York, Jessie York, and Robert York and two sisters, Shirley Nichols and Ruth Nichols.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Williamston, NC officiated by Father Bill Long.
