Editor, The Herald:

Dear Buckingham Board of Supervisors,

I got my real estate tax bill and was in shock. Those opposed to a tax increase must have known what they were talking about. I don’t have children in the school system, so why should I care about them? I can think of two or three reasons, but educating our children is a better equalizer than a gun, although it’s much more expensive.

Yes, I’m a widow on Social Security. My taxes went up 42 cents a month. I guess I will apply for food stamps.

Our elected officials need to have more consideration for its citizens—all of them.
