VARINA, June 17 — Craig Gilbert Puryear, 52, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at his home in Varina after a short battle with cancer.

He is survived by his father, Frank; stepmother, Brenda Puryear; two brothers, Jeff and Brad; two sisters, Kelli and Rebecca; two stepbrothers, Tommy and Charles Riley; and his beloved companion, Tammy Rudolph. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
