ARVONIA — An arrest has been made in Buckingham County in connection to a shooting incident reported at 8:16 a.m. on Saturday, June 21 in the 700 block of Sleepy Hollow Road near Arvonia.

According to a press release from Buckingham County Sheriff William G. “Billy” Kidd Jr., deputies responded initially “…for a report of a female attempting to break into a residence armed with a gun. While the deputies were…en-route to the scene, the call was upgraded to shots fired,” the release explains.

“Upon arrival, Deputy D.L. Moody encountered a female, matching the suspect description, walking from the rear of the residence. That subject was taken into custody without incident.
