Twin Lakes Notes Weekend Events

Twin Lakes State Park announces the following weekend events:

Friday, May 30 – at the interpretive circle at 11 a.m., “Call of The Wild” – animal calls, tracks, and facts; 2 p.m., “Where oh Where Has All the Topsoil Gone?” – find out how you can help; 7:30 p.m., “Campfire Cooking” – meet at the campfire circle to enjoy camping desserts;

Saturday, May 31, – meet at the Concession Stand, 10 a.m., “Creature Feature – Canines” – meet an interpreter and discover all about wolves, fox, coyotes; noon – “Animal Architects” – come by the Nature Nook to see what kinds of cool houses animals build; 2 p.m., “Survival Hike” – meet an interpreter and learn about what items and skills can help you survive in the woods, 4 p.m., “Craft Campers-Cone Critters” – create a Pine Cone Pet;

Sunday, June 1, meet at the interpretive circle, 11 a.m., “Scavenger Hunt” – explore Twin Lakes on this fun filled search, 2 p.m., “Creature Feature – Snakes” – learn all about these reptiles and where they live, 4 p.m.; “Native Pottery” – make and decorate your own pottery.
