FARMVILLE — Falling short by just two goals, the Buckingham County High School varsity soccer team was defeated by the Randolph-Henry High School Statesmen on Friday, May 2.

Buckingham's Tinos Trejo led the Knights and made their single goal during the game.

The Knights varsity soccer team will return to their home field and host the Statesmen on Wednesday, May 7 at 5 p.m. BCHS will then host Central Lunenburg on Monday, May 12 at 5 p.m. for a game against the Chargers.

“The next couple of weeks are huge for our team, as it will set us up for positioning for the Courthouse Conference 37 Tournament,” commented BCHS varsity soccer coach, Ed Dike.

He went on to add, “Our core unit of players are really starting to come together and we continue to improve as a whole unit.
