Appomattox NHP Makes Casting Call For Upcoming Film

Come be a part of history! During the week of July 14, Aperture Films will be working in Appomattox Court House National Historical Park to film a new movie for the Park Visitor Center. The Park’s Friends Group, the Appomattox 1865 Foundation is now casting volunteers to appear in the movie.

They are looking for: male, female and children, citizens of Appomattox, various ages; African-American males, females and children, various ages; Union officers, ages 30-50, all male; Confederate Lt. Charles Minnigerode, age 25-30, skinny, no facial hair; Confederate Lt. Col. Marshall, male, age 30-40, mustache and small beard; Robert Todd Lincoln, male, age 20-23, small mustache, side-parted hair, average build; Union Gen. Chamberlain, male, age 30-35, large mustache; Confederate soldiers, male, ages 20-30, various heights and builds; Union soldiers, male, ages 20-30, various heights and builds.

All talent will be provided meals while on set, credit in the film and reimbursement for actual gas receipts. This is an important film project and the friends are seeking talent to help bring history to life in the most accurate manner.
