HEARING REGARDING THE GRANTING OF PROPOSED VARIANCES TO THE TOWN OF DILLWYN ZONING ORDINANCE AND SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE
The planning commission and Town Council for the Town of Dillwyn will hold a joint public hearing on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 7:10 p.m. in the Dillwyn Town Hall, located at 1030 Main St. in said Town, to consider, pursuant to the request of Seay Milling and Machinery Company, a Virginia general partnership, present owner of the hereinafter described lands, and Habitat for Humanity, potential developer of said lands, granting variances as follows: to the Town of Dillwyn’s Zoning Ordinance so as to allow a division of a parcel of land into three lots of less than 20,000 square feet in area each; and, to the Town of Dillwyn Subdivision Ordinance so as to allow a division of a parcel of land into three lots, all three of which contain less than 20,000 square feet in area and have less than 150’ public road frontage. The lands which are the subject of said request described as follows:
All that certain tract or parcel of land, together with all improvements and appurtenances thereto belonging, lying and being in the Town of Dillwyn, Curdsville District of Buckingham County, Virginia, containing 0.84 acre, more or less, and bounded on the northeast by an alley, on the southeast by the lands now or formerly of Rainey and others, on the southwest by Culbreth Street, and on the northwest by Conner Street, and being described as Lots 51, 52, 53, 54 and part of Lots 49 and 50 in the Harris Addition of said Town of Dillwyn.
This public hearing and said proposed variances are hereby advertised pursuant to Subsection 12-1-2 of said Zoning Ordinance and Subsection 6-5 of the said Subdivision Ordinance. A copy of the preliminary drawing of the division of the subject parcel and copies of said Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances may be inspected during normal business hours at the Dillwyn Town Hall on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, except holidays.
