Editor, The Herald:

Farmville is my home and as the wife of a former mayor (1972-1998), I feel that I certainly understand the importance of this position. David Whitus was elected to the Town Council while my husband was still in office and has served for the last 16 years. First of all, he is a man of great integrity. He has grown in knowledge of the town’s needs and operations.

As the complexity of small town government has grown, so has he. He questions and studies the issues before he votes or puts forth a motion. He is compassionate and attends to individual needs as much as is possible.

I support David Whitus for Mayor, and I hope you will also.
