CVA Offers Workshop On 'Painting: Colors and Theory”

The Central Virginia Arts Workshop, “Painting: Colors and Theory,” with Rachel Sawan White will be held on Sunday, April 12, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fine Arts Studio, Winston Hall, Hampden-Sydney College.
Rachel began her formal studies as a provost at Virginia Commonwealth University. She then transferred to Loughboroh University in England and received her First Degree in Fine Arts Printmaking with the highest of honors. She has received numerous awards including the Yeo Tree Award at the Derby City Open in 1999. Many of her works have been featured in public, private and corporate collections all over the world.
Rachel has held many positions in the arts including Master Printer for several British artists; guest artist and lecture at several art centers and colleges, and a charter member of the Art6 Gallery. Currently she works from her studio in Richmond, teaches, and lectures with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. In addition, she currently has representation with the Blue Gallery in Kansas City, MO; the Eric Schindler Gallery in Richmond, and the Mob erg Gallery in DesMoines, IA.
