Why Is Town Stalling On Airport?

Editor, The Herald:
Airports bring in big bucks to a region – just think of the upgrading effect Jerry Farwell’s passion for planes has had on Lynchburg. People who own their own planes tend to be sober, well-heeled, and smart. Our own community-minded mayor is an example of the kind of people pilots tend to be.
The Farmville Regional Airport has attracted good business and great people to our region. Why then would the Town of Farmville frustrate local pilots by turning down a low-cost solution for improving the housing of airplanes? Why is the Town stalling and potentially paying more for less? For those of us who have always taken pride in our airport, we beg those who have the power to save money and improve the hangers using this talented, energetic, committed craftsman.
