MARCH 6 — John “Jack” Douglas Pickell, 77, of Farmville, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014. He was the widower of Jane Pickell. He was a good friend of the High Bridge Railroad Club of Farmville.

Mr. Pickell is survived by a daughter, Cheryl A. Reiss (Jan) of Raritan, NJ; a stepdaughter, Tracey Cox (Clyde) of Flemington, NJ; two grandchildren, James Stabile II and Brie Stabile both of Raritan, NJ; and three brothers, William (Cindy) Pickell of Branchville, NJ, Paul Olenick (Cheryl) of Highbridge NJ, and Charles Olenick (Karen) of Savannah, GA.

A memorial funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Chapel of Doyne-Burger-Davis Funeral Home.
