FARMVILLE — Prince Edward and surrounding counties were in for a treat on Wednesday, March 19, when the Harlem Ambassadors (a Christian, drug-free comedy basketball group) and Central Virginia Community Action All-Stars came to Willett Hall on Longwood University's campus for a comedic game against each other. The event consisted of a wild basketball game that included dancing, wrestling, football, kung fu, and more entertaining routines.

The charity basketball game to raise money for New Horizons Community Action Partnership was sponsored by Shentel; Citizens Bank and Trust; Southside Electric Cooperative; E.B. Allen Funeral Home of Farmville and V.Y. Scott Funeral Home of Amelia – Paul Wilson, Director; Dick's Place of Amelia – Sam Davis, owner; Amelia Bulletin Monitor – Ann B.
