ARVONIA, February 4 — Russell Seay Davis, 56, of Arvonia passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born on February 13, 1957, the son of Judy Davis and the late Russell L. “Dick” Davis.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Alice; his mother, Judy Davis (Bob Pace); two daughters, Kathleen “Katie” Jennings and Dr. Lesley Davis; two grandchildren, Langston and Julia Jennings; three brothers, Carey Davis (Debbie), Frank Davis (Becky), and Bruce Davis; a special niece, Jennifer Davis; nephews, Cody and Brent Davis; and uncle, William “Ben” Seay (Shirley), as well as other extended family and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Margaret Seay, R.P. Rainey, and Mattie Ruth Bergob.

Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church, Dillwyn, on Sunday, February 2 with interment in the Dillwyn Town Cemetery.
