CUMBERLAND — According to Cumberland Commonwealth’s Attorney Patricia Scales, federal authorities will handle the robbery of the Cartersville branch of the Central Virginia Bank, which occurred on December 20.
Jamieyian Juster Liggon, 28, of Richmond, and Jaquan Lamont Robinson, 21, of Richmond, are being held without bond at Piedmont Regional Jail in Farmville as suspects following the robbery of an undisclosed amount of cash.
According to Cumberland General District Court records, the two suspects were charged with four felonies: one count of robbery, one felony of conspiracy to commit robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and attempted grand larceny of a vehicle.
Liggon is appealing his bond, according to Cumberland Circuit Court records. The court date for his bond appeal was continued this week and is currently set for March 3.
No federal trial date is set yet as the case is in transition from state court to federal court, according to Scales.
