DILLWYN, January 30 — Clyde Clifton Chidester, of Dillwyn, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of the late Clyde L. and Mary Lucille Chidester.

Mr. Chidester, a retired construction contractor, will be remembered for the love of his farm, hunting, and his beloved pet burro, Brownie.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Chidester; daughter, Janice Delaney and husband, Butch; son, J. Scott Chidester and wife, Felicia; granddaughter, Jessica Delaney Hubbard and husband, Lewis; great-granddaughter, Aubree Grace Hubbard; and many cousins and hunting companions.

Burial will be private with a memorial service to be held at the Jamerson Family Cemetery on Saturday, February 1, at 1 p.m.
