Barry and Linda Miles, of Cumberland, Susie Taylor and Judy Durand, both of Dillwyn, Jane Cooke, of Brookneal, and Patricia Woodfin, of New Canton, all enjoyed attending “A Christmas To Remember” presentation held at New Life Assembly of God Church in Farmville on Saturday evening, December 14. A nice time was had by all.

Welcome home to Larry Barone, of Cumberland who underwent surgery last Friday, December 13. He is said to be doing okay as of this writing.

Annie May Miles, Sandra Ownby and her two grandsons, Blake and Jacksyn Waycaster, all of Dillwyn, visited in the home of James and Virginia Boyles in Cumberland on Saturday after, December 14. A nice time was had by all.

Congratulations to Mary Martin of Cumberland. She will be celebrating her 101^st birthday on Saturday, December 21. May God Bless you and keep you in his care with many more years of good health.

Ray and Grace Martin and their granddaughter, Caroline Martin, all of Dillwyn, attended the retirement party in honor of Judy and Carol Ownby of Cumberland held at Payne Memorial United Methodist Church in Cumberland On December 13. Everyone had a nice time.

Welcome home to Curtis Marion of Cumberland who spent some time in the hospital. He is said to be doing okay of this writing.

Our sympathy is extended to the Moore family of Gladstone. Lois Bryant Moore, 91, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 11. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14 in Appomattox. She will be greatly missed by all.

Maranatha Baptist Church located on Tuggle Road in Farmville, will present their Annual Christmas program on Sunday evening December 22 at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is “The Christmas Story.” Following this there will be refreshments and door prize drawings in the church fellowship hall.
