Lois Bryant Moore, 91

GLADSTONE, December 12 — Lois Bryant Moore, 91, of Gladstone, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Samuel Arthur Moore Jr.

Born in Buckingham County on March 30, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Minnie Burks and Russell Roy Bryant. She was a member of Goldmine Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired as a seamstress for Courtland Manufacturing.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Peggy Moore and Roger and Linda Moore all of Gladstone; two grandchildren, Cherile Moore and Anthony Moore and his wife, Christina; four great-grandchildren, Cory and Dylan Tyree and Tyler and Samantha Moore; two sisters, Naomi B. Stratton and Helen B. Almond both of Appomattox; three brothers, Oscar E. Bryant and wife, Ida of Oklahoma City, OK, James R. Bryant and Landon E. (Gene) Bryant both of Appomattox; and her step-mother, Francis F. Bryant of Appomattox.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, December 14 at Robinson Funeral Home by the Rev. Ricky Hackett and the Rev. Harold Powers. Burial will follow in Buckingham Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
