FARMVILLE — On Friday, November 29, members of the Farmville community gathered at the Farmville Municipal Golf Club for a birthday celebration held for the “Fabulous Four.”

Nancy Haga, event coordinator, commented, “We are very pleased with the turnout. Over 300 people came out to thank these four for what they have done for our community.”

The Fabulous Four is a group of four people that have helped the Farmville area through coaching sports for numerous years. The group consists of Skeeter Fore, Beth Fore, Bozo Addleman, and the late Bob Hazelwood.

“These people contributed to the best years of my children's lives. Even through difficult times, their motivational coaching guided my kids and helped them to move on from what was going on at home. I am eternally thankful to them for this and will never forget their kindness,” reflected Haga.

She explained that many people think the group taught their children life skills such as: fairness, humor, and integrity.

“They helped the average players achieve great things, on and off the field,” said Haga.

Each of the four members, have spent hundreds of hours trying to help children learn skills in different sports and encourage them to continue to improve in their skills.

“Most of us (the Fabulous Four) have been coaching for close to 45 years and I know I speak for the group when I say, 'We are very fortunate to be here,'” added Beth Fore.
