NEW CANTON, November 26 — Reginald Glenn Steepleton, 80, of New Canton, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 23, 2013. He was born in Eagle Rock on January 9, 1933 to the late Mildred Wright.
He joined the army and pulled two tours in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star Medal, and served in Japan and Germany. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved bowling. He was a proud member of the American Legion and the DAV of Woodbridge.
Mr. Steepleton is survived by his wife, Maxine Beer; stepson, Michael Cogswell (Robin) of Dale City; step-granddaughter, Marcia Biddle of Florence AL; and many other extended family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha and a son, Glenn Steepleton.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 29 at 12 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery. Family requests no viewing.
