SOUTH BOSTON, November 5 — Michael Dean Gregory, 52, of South Boston, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax County December 6, 1960, the son of John Richard Gregory and Constance “Connie” Jones Gregory and was married to Sonja Anderson Gregory.

Mr. Gregory formerly attended Grace Baptist Church and was a graduate of Washington & Lee University. He was proprietor of the Gregory Jewelry Store in Farmville.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Lauren Gregory of South Boston; brother, Rick Gregory of Richmond; mother-in-law, Lois Anderson of Chatham; and brothers-in-law, Donald Anderson of Kentucky and Barry Anderson of Powhatan.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 6 at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Stewart and the Rev. Brian Smutz officiating with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery, Scottsburg.

The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home Tuesday (tonight) from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at his home in South Boston.
