NOVEMBER 26 — Carrie Elizabeth Streat Bailey, daughter of Sammy and Dora Streat, was born in Lunenburg County on August 26, 1929. On Friday, November 15, 2013 our beloved mother and grandmother entered eternal rest in The Laurels of Willows Creek Nursing Facility, Midlothian. She was a member of Levi Baptist Church of Green Bay where she was an usher.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughters, a devoted daughter, Carrie, also known as “Cora” Booker of Richmond, Velma (Joe) Hines of Keysville; daughters-in-law, Leola, Rosa and Bertha Bailey; son, Bruce (Lyllie Bell) Bailey of Meherrin; grandchildren, Joyce, Kevin, Nicole, Hope, Keith, Charlotte, Katina, Cecil, Ann, Gregory, Jason, Daniel Jr., Patricia, Marquise, Mary, Lorraine, Dennis and Chassity; sister, Ethel Cheatham Carter; great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held Friday, November 22 at Levi Baptist Church, Green Bay, with Minister Barbara Reed, officiating and the Rev. J. Samuel Williams, Eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Wilson Funeral Home, Keysville, served the family.
