OCTOBER 8 — Ricky Lee Companion Sr., 53, of Farmville, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013. He was born in Hopewell to Mary Dennis Companion and the late Joseph Companion Sr. on February 28, 1960.

He grew up in Farmville and always stayed very close to his mother and siblings. His favorite pastime was fishing, hunting, camping and watching the Dallas Cowboys win at football. He was known for his loving, giving nature and his famous mustache. He was a very loving father who thought his children were the best.

Mr. Companion worked for P&L Construction in Farmville.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Companion; daughter, Megan Companion; son, Ricky Lee Companion Jr.; sister, Deborah Baker (Larry); two brothers, Donald and Joey Companion; a special best friend, Ann Slayton and his children’s mother, Lisa Companion.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 8 from 6 p.m.–9 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 9 in the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery, Farmville.
