FARMVILLE — Sports enthusiast Gene Watson of Farmville, captured The Farmville Herald's Football Contest for the week ending September 8. Watson, along with Johnny Hurst of Burkeville, only missed three contests. Watson captured the $25 top prize by virtue of the tiebreaker games. Hurst collected the runner-up award of $15.

Please remember this year: If you choose all 18 games correctly in a single week then the Grand Prize of $250 will be awarded.
