Ice Cream Series At Sailor's Creek

Published 4:00 pm Tuesday, August 20, 2013

Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a “Minie Ball” and a “Mini Ball?” How about “Grape Shot” and “Canister?” Or, a “Springfield Rifle” versus a “Richmond Rifle?” Then journey with us on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 2-4 p.m. at the Sailor’s Creek Battlefield Historical State Park Visitor Center as we take an investigative look into “American Civil War Ballistics.” This will be the fourth and final program for the annual “August Ice Cream Sunday” lecture series. Admission is free; however the Ice Cream Sundaes are $2 per person (with unlimited refills).

Due to the graphic, sensitive nature of the material covered and discussed, this program is recommended for adults and teenagers 13 years of age and older.
