CUMBERLAND COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APEALS

The Cumberland County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Wednesday, September 4, 2013,at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in room C-8 of the Cumberland County Community Center located at the corner of Anderson Highway (Route 60) and Forest View Road (Route 628) in Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204 to consider the following item and taking action in furtherance thereof:

BZA 13-03: Mary Morris requests a variance from the requirements of Section 74-135 of the Cumberland County Zoning Ordinance regarding the two acre minimum gross residential density with respect to 3.6 acres of Tax Map 35, Section 1, Parcel III. The affected property is zoned A-2, Agricultural. The applicant requests to locate a second dwelling on the property. The affected property has a physical address of 38 Mt Airy Ln, Cumberland, VA 23040 and is located northwest of the intersection of Mt Airy Forest Rd and Mt Airy Ln in election district 2.

Copies of the above requests are available for review at the Cumberland County Planning Department between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm M-F. The public is invited to attend these hearings at which persons affected may appear and present their views.
